AI certification rankings
These rankings are formula-driven, not paid placements. Each certification gets an Atlas score out of 100:
- 50% employer demand. How often the cert or its skill set appears in job postings, based on Lightcast, Dice, CompTIA and LinkedIn data plus our own posting reviews, on a 1–5 scale.
- 25% credibility. Exam plus hands-on labs scores highest, then proctored exams, then course certificates, then quiz badges.
- 25% affordability. Free scores full marks, and the score falls linearly to zero at $1,000.
Retired exams and certifications we couldn't verify are left out. Demand scores are editorial judgments; we review them quarterly.
